Sculptra®
Sculptra® is a unique, FDA-approved injectable treatment designed to restore your skin’s foundation by stimulating natural collagen production. It helps firm and smooth the entire cheek area while tightening the skin along the jawline, offering a subtle yet transformative rejuvenation.
Collagen, a vital fibrous protein, is essential for maintaining skin’s shape, structure, and elasticity. However, by the age of 40, we lose up to 20% of our natural collagen, which contributes to visible signs of aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, and sagging.
Sculptra® addresses these concerns by using poly-L-lactic acid, a biocompatible substance that stimulates collagen growth. As Sculptra® is gradually absorbed, it forms a supportive framework within the skin, encouraging your body to rebuild collagen naturally. This process improves skin texture, firmness, and overall appearance from the inside out.
Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra® works progressively. It's especially effective in softening deep facial folds and wrinkles - including nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, and chin wrinkles, and in enhancing contours around the cheeks, temples, and jawline. It can also be used to treat the neck area.
With results appearing gradually over several weeks, the outcome is a smooth, natural-looking lift that can last up to two years or more. Most clients require 2 to 3 treatment sessions spaced over a few months for optimal, long-lasting results.
Sculptra® is ideal for those looking for a more gradual, long-term improvement in facial volume and skin quality- offering a refreshed, youthful glow.

Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications or supplements (e.g., aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or gingko biloba) for at least 3-7 days before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising. Consult your doctor before stopping any prescription medications.
Alcohol and Caffeine: Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24-48 hours before the procedure as they can increase the risk of swelling and bruising.
Skin Health: Ensure the treatment area is free of active skin infections, cold sores, rashes, or open wounds. If you have a history of cold sores, notify your practitioner in advance.
Avoid Other Treatments: Refrain from having chemical peels, laser treatments, or other cosmetic procedures on the treatment area for at least 2-3 weeks before your session.
Plan Around Events: Schedule the treatment with enough time (at least 1-2 weeks) before any major events to allow for any potential side effects such as redness, bruising, or swelling to subside.
Wear SPF: Do use sunscreen pre-and-post treatment to protect your skin. We will not be able to treat you if you have sunburnt skin.
Arrive Makeup-Free: If possible please arrive without makeup on the area/s to be treated.
Reschedule If Unwell: You MUST be fit and well for at least 2 weeks before receiving this treatment. We cannot treat you if you are currently unwell or if you have recently been unwell. This includes any type of infection or antibiotics. If this applies to you - please call the clinic as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.

No Makeup for 24 Hours: Avoid applying makeup or skincare products to the treated area for the first 24 hours to minimise the risk of irritation or infection.
Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and optimize the effects of the hyaluronic acid booster.
Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Refrain from hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or intense exercise that causes sweating for 24-48 hours, as heat can exacerbate swelling and bruising.
Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Limit alcohol and caffeine consumption for 24-48 hours post-treatment, as they can increase swelling and delay the healing process.
Avoid Sun Exposure: Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning beds for at least a week after treatment. Use sunscreen with a high SPF to protect the skin and prevent pigmentation changes.
Manage Swelling and Bruising: Mild swelling, bruising, and redness are common after treatment and should subside within a few days. You can apply a sterile cold compress gently to the area to reduce swelling. Arnica cream or tablets may help speed up the healing of bruising.
No Other Treatments: Avoid any other facial treatments (such as facials, chemical peels, or laser therapy) for at least 2 weeks to allow your skin to heal properly.
