Lip Filler
At The India Gabrielle Clinic, we specialise in Lip Fillers designed to restore and accentuate your lips' natural curves and definition, achieving beautiful fullness and shape.
Made from hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body, our Lip Fillers effectively retain moisture, keeping your lips hydrated and plump. Hyaluronic acid can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water, providing immediate volume, a smoother texture, and stimulating collagen production for long-term lip health.
Working closely with you to achieve your desired look, we tailor each treatment to your specific facial proportions, ensuring a balanced profile and natural-looking results. Whether it's enhancing volume for a fuller appearance, adjusting asymmetry, or lifting drooping corners for a more youthful look, we will ensure you leave with enhanced, natural-looking lips.

Clinic Tour
Before & After Lip Filler
-
Aesthetics consultations are available to book if you would like to discuss this treatment beforehand.
A consultation is not mandatory, unless you have previously had Lip Filler performed at another clinic. In such cases, a consultation is required to assess your suitability.
We recommend scheduling a consultation if you have any health conditions. As this allows us to evaluate your suitability before booking your treatment.
Every Lip Filler appointment begins with a thorough consultation with one of our practitioners. They will explain what to expect and answer any questions.
Detailed pre and post treatment advice is sent via email upon booking. It is essential to follow this guidance carefully to ensure your treatment can proceed as planned.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us prior to your appointment.
Your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. As part of our process, we require all clients to complete a medical consent form, which will be carefully reviewed by our practitioners to ensure suitability.
During your appointment, your practitioner will also provide comprehensive aftercare advice to support your recovery and results.
-
• Drink 3 litres of water per day in the 3 days leading up to treatment. Hydration is CRUCIAL to obtaining a good result - Dermal Filler relies on drawing water to the treated cells, helping you achieve the full filler augmentation effects.
• Avoid alcohol for 48 hours pre-and post treatment.
• For a week before and after the procedure, avoid blood thinners, such as; Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Warfarin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E and any other anti-coagulant medication. If you have been prescribed such medication by a medical professional - you must not cease use without consulting them first.
• For a week before and after the procedure, avoid any blood-thinning food supplements, such as; fish oil, liquorice, garlic, ginger, ginkgo and green tea.
• You should be aware that if you take any blood-thinning substances there will be increased likelihood of bleeding or bruising at the injection site(s).
• Bruising is possible and therefore, we recommend that you schedule any social plans accordingly for 7-14 days following your treatment.
• You MUST be fit and well for at least 2 weeks before receiving this treatment. We cannot treat you if you are currently unwell or if you have recently been unwell. This includes any type of infection or antibiotics. If this applies to you - please call the clinic as soon as possible to reschedule your appointment.
• You may wish to take an over the counter antihistamine one week prior to treatment and continue to take until one week post treatment, within the recommended guidelines.
• Do prep your skin. Prior to treatment, make sure to look after your skin and keep it in the best condition. Moisturise and avoid damaged pores.
• Do use sunscreen pre-and-post treatment to protect your skin. We will not be able to treat you if you have sunburnt skin.
• Avoid sun and heat exposure.
• If you suffer from cold sores, there is a risk of activating them.
• Please arrive without makeup on. The area will be thoroughly cleaned prior to your treatment.
• You are not a suitable candidate for this treatment if you have any known allergies to Filler, Lidocaine, Collagen or Hyaluronic Acids. If this applies to you - please call the clinic as soon as possible to cancel your appointment. -
• Keep well hydrated and drink 3 litres of water per day for the next 3 days after treatment. Hydration is crucial to obtaining a good result because Dermal Filler relies on drawing water to the treated cells, helping you get the full filler augmentation effects.
• After treatment, slight redness, swelling, itching, bruising and some tenderness at the site of the injection may occur. This is normal and will generally disappear over the next 7-14 days.
• If the area is swollen/tender you may apply a sterile ice pack - for no longer than 15 minutes at a time - and do not apply ice directly to the skin.
• Avoid taking Aspirin, Clopidogrel, Warfarin, Ibuprofen or any other blood thinning medications for the next 7 days. You should be aware that if you take such medications there will be increased likelihood of bleeding or bruising at the injection site(s).
• If itching or swelling occur, a general over the counter antihistamine can be taken for a period of one week post treatment - within the recommended guidelines.
• Arnica Cream/Capsules can be taken to help prevent bruising.
• Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking for 48 hours.
• Avoid strenuous exercise and heat treatments for 3 days e.g. sunbathing, saunas, sunbeds, hot baths/shower, steam room etc.
• Avoid creams containing Alpha Hydroxy Acid or Glycolic Acid around the area for 48 hours.
• Avoid direct sun exposure and wear a high SPF sunscreen (30+) to prolong the duration of the Filler.
• Keep the area clean to prevent infection. Do not touch or rub the area - especially not with dirty fingers.
• Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your face and applying any skincare products.
• Do not apply makeup to the treated area for 24 hours to prevent infection. If applying makeup after this time - ensure your makeup brushes are clean before and after each use.
• Change your pillowcase on the day of treatment and try to sleep on your back for the first few days post treatment.
• Do NOT massage the treated area your Practitioner will have massaged this for you and there is no need to continue to massage.
• Do NOT apply any hot compresses to the treated area.
• Alcohol, smoking and sun exposure will reduce the life of the filler.
• If you are planning on having any other aesthetic, skin, laser, beauty, waxing or medical treatments - please discuss this with your practitioner, so that your appointments can be timed appropriately.
• If you are having any other aesthetic, skin, laser, beauty, waxing or medical treatments carried out by another practitioner - you should inform them that you have had Lip Filler.

FAQs
-
On average Lip Filler will last between 6-12 months. However, for some people, the filler may dissolve more quickly because of their metabolism and for some people it may last longer.
We only ever use temporary hyaluronic acid based fillers for several reasons; it is the safest, looks and feels most natural and allows for adjustments and tweaks to be made over time as changes in facial structure occur and to ensure your aesthetic preferences can be accommodated in future.
-
The amount of Lip Filler you need depends on your individual goals and the natural shape and size of your lips.
We offer two options:
0.5ml: For a subtle enhancement, adding slight definition and hydration for a natural, soft look.
1ml: Better suited for those looking for more noticeable definition and volume while still maintaining a balanced, natural appearance.
If you're unsure, you don’t have to decide in advance! You can start with 0.5ml on the day and take a look before deciding if you’d like to add more. Just bear in mind that your lips will be swollen immediately after treatment, so the size will reduce as the swelling settles.
Some clients choose to return for additional filler to build on their results gradually, but it’s important to allow enough time between appointments to ensure proper healing and assess the final result.
We prioritise your safety and satisfaction, so we don’t perform more than 1ml in a single session. Your practitioner will guide you during your consultation to help you achieve your desired outcome.
-
We prioritise your comfort during the Lip Filler procedure. Before we begin the treatment, we apply a topical anaesthetic to your lips and allow sufficient time for them to become numb. This significantly alleviates the majority of any potential discomfort. We also use ultra-fine needles to further enhance your comfort throughout the procedure. With these measures, most clients report minimal pain during their Lip Filler treatment.
-
We only use premium filler brands and tailor each treatment and type of filler specifically to the client and their individual needs. We only ever use hyaluronic acid based fillers for the most natural and safest results.
-
Immediately after your Lip Filler treatment, you can expect some swelling, which is completely normal. For most people:
Your lips will appear fuller than the final result due to swelling.
There may be some redness or tenderness around the injection sites.
You might experience bruising, which is also normal and should fade quickly.
While your lips may feel slightly firm at first, they will soften and settle into their natural shape as the filler integrates over the next 1-2 weeks.
Your practitioner will provide you with aftercare advice to help minimise swelling and ensure a smooth recovery.
Keep in mind that the final result won’t be visible until the swelling has fully subsided, so give it time before assessing your outcome. If you have any concerns, we’re always here to help!
-
A Lip Filler appointment takes approximately 45-60 minutes. This includes time for:
A Consultation to discuss your goals and ensure suitability for the treatment.
Time for numbing to make the procedure as comfortable as possible.
A detailed explanation of aftercare and time for any questions you may have.
-
Lip Filler treatments are minimally invasive and typically require little to no downtime. Most people can return to their regular activities immediately following the procedure. However, some temporary side effects are common, such as:
Swelling
Bruising
Tenderness
To minimise these side effects, it is important to follow all pre- and post-treatment care instructions provided. Doing so will help reduce downtime and ensure the best possible results.
-
We only ever use hyaluronic acid based Fillers. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body, which helps it integrate smoothly with the tissues, providing the most natural look and feel.
Lip Fillers typically make the lips feel fuller and firmer. Here’s what you can expect regarding the sensation:
Immediately After Injection: There may be some swelling, tenderness, and a feeling of fullness. Some people might experience mild discomfort or bruising at the injection sites. It is important to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated as the Lip Filler settles.
Within a Few Days: As the initial swelling subsides, the lips start to feel more natural, although slightly firmer and plumper than before the injection.
Long-term Feel: Once fully settled (usually within a week or two), the lips generally feel soft and like your own tissue, albeit with a slightly more voluminous feel compared to their original state.
Overall, the sensation should be very similar to natural lips, just with added volume and fullness.
