Lynton Focus Dual®
Radiofrequency Microneedling
Radiofrequency Microneedling with Lynton Focus Dual® technology is a highly effective procedure designed to rejuvenate and tighten the skin. It works by combining two powerful technologies: Microneedling and Radiofrequency energy.
Microneedling uses tiny, ultra-fine needles to create microscopic channels in the skin, which triggers the body’s natural healing process and boosts collagen, elastin and fibroblast production - key components for firm, youthful skin. At the same time, the Radiofrequency energy is delivered deep into the skin through these tiny channels, generating heat in the dermal layers. This heat further stimulates collagen and elastin while tightening and remodeling the skin’s structure.
This dual-action approach delivers superior results compared to standalone treatments, effectively addressing fine lines, wrinkles, skin laxity, scarring, and stretch marks. With the Focus Dual®'s medical CE certification and the backing of multi award-winning Lynton technology, clients can expect a safe and effective experience, with reduced discomfort compared to other available devices.
Suitable for use on the face, neck, décolleté, and body, this powerful treatment naturally revitalises the skin, leaving it firmer, smoother and more youthful. It can also be combined with HIFU for the ultimate non-surgical face and neck lift, making it an exceptional choice for comprehensive results.

A prior skin consultation before booking a Radiofrequency Microneedling treatment isn't mandatory, but they are available to book if you would prefer to find out more about the treatment or to discuss your skin concerns and goals beforehand.
We do recommend scheduling a prior consultation if you have any health conditions or if you are taking medication, as it allows us to assess your suitability before booking your treatment.
Every Radiofrequency Microneedling appointment begins with a thorough consultation by our practitioners - to explain the treatment, assess your skin and answer any questions you may have.
Upon booking your treatment, full pre and post treatment advice will be emailed directly to you - to ensure you understand how to fully prepare for your treatment. It is imperative that you fully follow this advice to ensure treatment can go ahead on the day of your appointment. If you have any questions, please do contact us ahead of your appointment.
Your safety and satisfaction is our top priority, so we also require clients to complete a medical consent form, which our practitioners review carefully to ensure suitability before proceeding with any treatment. Your practitioner will also discuss how to care for your skin after treatment during your appointment.
-
Your skin may be pink or red post treatment, so we advise scheduling your appointment on a day when you do not have any social commitments straight after or the following day.
Two Weeks Before Treatment:
Avoid Sun Exposure: Refrain from sunbathing, using sunbeds, or applying self-tanning products. Always use SPF 30+ or higher on the treatment area if exposed to the sun.
Hair Removal: Do not undergo electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams, or laser hair removal on the treatment area.
Skincare Products: Discontinue the use of Retinol, Vitamin A-based creams, Chemical Exfoliants, AHA, BHA, and Benzoyl Peroxide products.
24 Hours Before Treatment:
Avoid exfoliating products that may be drying or irritating.
Avoid drinking alcohol.
Day of Treatment:
Cleanse, moisturise, and apply SPF as usual in the morning.
Do not apply any makeup to the area you are having treated.
Medical Considerations:
If you have a history of cold sores (herpes simplex), you may need to take antiviral medication to prevent a flare-up.
A full list of medical contraindications will be emailed upon booking. Please ensure you read and confirm none apply.
Contact the clinic if you have any questions or concerns about suitability.

What to Expect:
The treated area can be red or pink in colour after the treatment and this generally lasts for a few hours, but can last a couple of days. It will also feel warm to the touch during this time.
Bruising may occasionally occur after treatment in delicate areas, especially around the eyes. This can last up to 5 days but should resolve with no long-term effects.
Immediately after treatment, contraction of collagen fibres improves the skin’s elasticity, so your skin will appear firmer. This can be temporary as the production of new collagen takes time, and best results are seen after your course of treatments (continuing for 3 to 6 months after the end of your course).
A course of treatments with a minimum 6-week interval is recommended for optimal long-term results, followed by regular maintenance.
Sun Protection:
Apply a high-protection sunscreen (SPF 30+ or higher) daily and avoid direct sun exposure (including sun beds) for at least 4 weeks post-treatment..
Stay in the shade and wear a sunhat for at least 2 weeks post-treatment to minimise UV exposure.
Take extra precautions if you are hypersensitive to the sun.
Skin Care Routine:
Post-treatment, use a gentle, non-exfoliating cleanser and a light moisturiser to soothe the skin.
By day 3, you may resume your normal skincare routine, but avoid acid-based or chemical products (e.g., AHA/BHA/Retinol) for at least 7 days.
For optimal results, use the skin care products recommended in clinic by your practitioner.
Wash hands thoroughly before touching the treated area or applying skincare products. Avoid touching your skin excessively.
Makeup:
Avoid applying makeup for 24-48 hours post-treatment. After this period, ensure that any makeup brushes or tools used are clean to prevent infection.
Hydration and Diet:
Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
Avoid alcohol immediately after the procedure to help the skin recover.
Heat and Irritants:
Avoid hot baths, showers, saunas, steam rooms, and swimming pools for at least 24 hours.
Refrain from using perfumed cosmetics, scrubbing the skin, or applying irritants to the treated area for 3 days post-treatment.
Avoid anything that may cause infection (e.g. pets licking your face, dirty glasses etc.)
Change bedding and towels on the day of treatment.
Avoid strenuous exercise until redness dissipates; wait at least 48 hours.
Other Treatments:
Inform your practitioner if planning any other treatments, so that they can advise you on how long to wait in-between.
Healing Process:
Dryness, Flakiness, and Peeling: The skin may appear dry and flaky, with possible peeling. Use a gentle, recommended moisturiser to relieve tightness and avoid picking at the skin.
Blistering is very unusual, but if it does occur, contact the clinic for further advice. Keep the area clean and dry and allow it to heal naturally. Do not use any lotions or creams on open skin as this may increase the risk of infection.
Grazing or flaking can sometimes occur following treatment, so it’s important you DO NOT pick grazes or blisters – as this may increase the chance of a scar occurring. Once the skin has healed, a high protection sunscreen should be used daily for 12 months to prevent pigmentation changes to the skin.
If you have any queries regarding the treated area, please phone the clinic for advice.

FAQs
-
Radiofrequency Microneedling combines microneedling and radiofrequency energy to rejuvenate skin by stimulating collagen and elastin. It improves skin texture, tightens, and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.
-
Yes, Radiofrequency Microneedling can be combined with other treatments to provide more comprehensive skin rejuvenation. It pairs well with treatments like High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) for enhanced results, such as a non-surgical face or neck lift. However, other treatments are typically not performed on the same day. The amount of time you need to allow between appointments depends on the specific treatments being combined. Consult with your practitioner to determine the best treatment plan for your specific needs.
-
The number of Radiofrequency Microneedling sessions varies depending on your skin concerns, goals, and individual healing response. Factors such as general health, lifestyle (e.g., smoking, alcohol consumption, stress, sun exposure), and skincare routine also influence recommendations. Typically, we suggest a course of 3 sessions, spaced no sooner than 6 weeks apart. For lasting results, maintenance sessions every 6-12 months are recommended.
-
After a Radiofrequency Microneedling treatment, collagen, elastin, and fibroblast production continues to build over the next 4-12 weeks. To ensure optimal results and proper healing, we require that your next appointment be scheduled no sooner than 6 weeks after your last session.
-
It depends on the size of the area you are having treated. We always allow plenty of time at the start of each appointment for a consultation.
Full Face: Up to 1 hour total appointment time.
Full Face & Neck: Up to 1 hour and 30 minutes total appointment time.
Full Face, Neck & Decolletage: Up to 2 hours total appointment time.

Radiofrequency Microneedling can cause some discomfort, but it is generally well-tolerated by most people. We do not use numbing cream because it's important for your skin to fully register the controlled micro-trauma to effectively stimulate the healing response. You may experience some redness and sensitivity, similar to a mild sunburn, which typically subsides within a couple of days.
-
Radiofrequency Microneedling has minimal downtime. After the procedure, you may experience redness and mild swelling, similar to a sunburn, which usually subsides within 1-3 days. Your skin may also feel slightly sensitive and tight during this time and you may experience some light peeling and flaking. Most people can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment, although it's important to follow the full post-treatment advice.
